To access our Tourism Zone, you must purchase a valid Visitor Pass. The Karajarri Visitor Pass, formally known as the Karajarri Visitor Permit, is a cornerstone of our Tourism Strategy and helps the KTLA maintain Karajarri land and improve our tourism offering. Revenue raised from visitor pass sales will go directly into the operational budgets of the Karajarri Rangers, who manage this land. Traditional Owners recognise that tourism can have positive benefits for the community; however, they want to manage the environmental and cultural impacts. When visitors buy a Karajarri Visitor Pass, they will be helping the Karajarri people to:
Establish managed visitor sites at key locations, with Karajarri Rangers and Traditional Owners welcoming, guiding and sharing culture.
Grow the Karajarri Ranger program with a tourism focus.
Provide cultural expertise and support for tour operators.
Please note: Public internet/phone access in the Karajarri Tourism Zone is limited. We suggest that you download/print all relevant passes, maps, guides and information before you travel.
